In Company Testimonials

Read what users of the In Company course have to say about it...

In Company is a book full of motivating activities and easy-made lessons for students of English. I use the short stories at the beginning of the units. Short parts of speech in the book are very useful, they make students think and react and show their own opinion which is extremely important. My students like the book because it is written in a very good way, encouraging them to speak. I like the interesting topics which correspond with the needs of my students. It includes all the areas of language in a short but very valuable way. My students like two books in one - everything they need is together. The content of the book is written in an interesting way, encouraging them to speak and think. The lessons are easy to remember and achievable in 45 minutes.
Luba Skerlikova, Slovakia

In Company stimulates students to speak and use the structures and vocabulary they have learnt within the unit. The book presents various exercises where the students can practise useful expressions used not only in the business environment but also in everyday situations. The listening exercises are not too long and the written exercises that accompany them stimulate the student to listen carefully. The course is compact, practical and economical for students. In Company definitely makes it easier for me to plan my lessons in an attractive way.
Magdalena Pietrusiewicz, Poland

In Company has helped me to adapt, extend and tailor-make my courses in different ways. It is a well-established, streamlined and up-to-date course that offers learners a lively look at key business ideas and skills. It actually treats them as business people, and gives them the scope to stretch themselves and communicate about things which are meaningful and relevant to them: real characters, real language and real business topics.

It has a flexible and complex approach to lexical material. Easy-to-organise communication activities include group discussions and simulations, up-front approach to grammar means clear, succinct presentations of grammar points and plenty of practice opportunities in every unit.In Company has presented only grammar material that has an obvious practical value for the English student. The communication skills and tasks section enables my students to practise communication skills needed to tackle all types of business issues effectively and efficiently.
In Company raises awareness of cultural differences that can affect business relationships. In Company's innovative approach to teaching Business English also makes it particularly suitable for newly-trained teachers.
Yana Ivanchenko, Lviv, Ukraine

In Company has proved to be the exact mixture students want between Business English and teaching grammar. I like the extra material provided in the Teacher's Book as well as it gives them extra practice in all areas.
In Company has improved my Business English teaching a lot - I've learnt a lot of new vocabulary and concepts which has enabled me to become more professional in what I do. I really love the choice I made about changing other Business English books for In Company, and the proof is I started with only one level, and now I am using two of them.
Debora Klebs, National Teacher Training College, Buenos Aires, Argentina

In Company deals with real-life material (real websites, real information about real companies). It also makes students get engaged more easily in the activities since they can bring their general knowledge about the work into the classroom. Motivating them is also a much simpler task when you deal with real material. In Company is a book that deals with Business English. It combines Business English with other areas of interest (travelling, free time activities, shopping etc) which bring variety into the English class. The resources at the back of the Teacher's Book and on the website are of great help for me. They make our job much easier and simplify many hours of work outside the classroom. It has helped me organise my classes thanks to the teacher-friendly layout of the units. Students find the unit topics of high interest because they deal with different aspects of their professional life. The Teacher's Book is so well organised. The authors of the book have managed to help me tackle different business topics with great success.
Andrea Santoiannai, Corporate English Language Teaching, Argentina

The material is clearly presented. The Teacher's Book is very helpful and the articles and activities on the web are very updated and varied. Since I started using In Company, I found that both my students and I have learned a lot of business expressions and vocabulary, and that we can engage in all sorts of different activities and listen to different varieties of English.
Patricia Galazzo, Argentina

The range of units and topics is comprehensive and contemporary (e-commerce, webcasting etc) and is extremely well-organised. The communication skills and tasks are a good mixture of 'hard' practical stuff (e.g. getting technical facts) and 'soft' personality-ridden abilities. I especially like the fact that there are lots of Asian faces in your books. After all, international business is international and yes, Asian businessmen can speak and do business in English. It saves me time scouting for material from scratch. The pages look very professional, the business articles always have a human interest and the case studies can also spur students to think of equivalents in their own industry or company.
Ming Ee Wong, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Frankfurt, Germany

In Company has helped me to better understand the capabilities and needs of the different stages of intermediate students. I especially like the contexts that the language is placed in. It's modern, relevant and often entertaining as well. The materials have helped me to build much more effective business courses. Often while planning a lesson I think where would I be if I hadn't found this stuff? It has also helped me to motivate a couple of my less motivated groups due to the relevancy and humour in the lessons. My students love the relevancy and humour of the contexts and the usefulness of the language practiced. The provision of Internet sites, and even the use of them as part of the lesson has also proved very enjoyable.
Mike Walt, Pro-Active English, Vienna, Austria

This is just to let you know how much I enjoy, and my students enjoy, the
In Company course book.

It has obviously been thoroughly thought through and is a pleasure to use. I almost feel as though the authors are in the classroom with me!

My students have progressed considerably and most of them have passed the Cambridge business exams at the end of the course. I feel sure that the new business vocabulary they acquired during the course helped them do that, not to mention the finer points of grammar which, through the clever integration into each unit, they were finally able to grasp.

Students at Intermediate and Upper intermediate levels, have studied Grammar to death at school, but have never made the real connection between which tense and when. Your course book enabled them to do just that.

What else can I say............ you've come up with a real winner. Bravo!
Julie Cummings-Debrot, Freelance Language Trainer, The English Connection, Paris, France

Great In Company worksheets - all very useful and interesting to teach with!!! Like the A4 print format too. I have found all your products and services very professional. Well done and thanks.
Noel Lineker, Business Instructor, Japan / New Zealand

The email e-lesson from In Company is so useful and the exercise to write emails to each other works very well in large groups. Another one is Being Heard - the interrupting task. Students joke and have a great time practising the phrases and that's really how it sticks in their minds.
Valda Triegaardt, English teacher, Austro Amerika Institute, Vienna, Austria

Student attendance has practically doubled since we started using In Company Intermediate.
Brett Ordonez, blc Bern, Switzerland

Every now and then a coursebook comes along that matches the way best teaching practice is advancing. In Company Intermediate is such a book.
